Kacey Musgraves calls for a return to saloon shoot-outs and then deletes tweet
Country star Kacey Musgraves has called on lawmakers to turn clubs into Wild West saloons, so gunmen with bad intentions can be shot by law abiding folk.
Responding to the horror surrounding the weekend's shoot-out at an Orlando, Florida gay club, where 49 people were killed, the Follow Your Arrow singer has suggested more people should be armed when they're hanging out - just in case.
"Let's go back to saloons where every muthaf**ka is carryin a
revolver and anyone walkin in to disturb the peace might maybe
think twice," she tweeted and then deleted over the weekend
(12Jun16).
Like so many people, Kacey was stunned and appalled when she first
heard about the shooting incident at the Pulse club, writing:
"Crying as I read about Orlando. I can't believe it. I don't
understand. And especially at such a happy place!? Feeling
sick."
After deleting her tweet about gun law, Kacey added: "Look.
Emotions are high today. Mine included. Just hating hate. Lots of
opinions in the mix. LOVE is the only true answer. Hard subject
tho... All I know is something isn't working. Thats all. I love
y'all and my true intent is peaceful."
