Justin Bieber urges fans to 'show respect' to pose for photos

Justin Bieber is demanding fans show him "respect" if they want him to pose for photographs in public after encountering screaming crowds in Melbourne, Australia.

The Canadian hitmaker is currently Down Under promoting his new single What Do You Mean? and he has been ambushed by devotees wherever he goes.

After arriving in Melbourne from Los Angeles, he spent part of his Sunday (27Sep15) mingling with fans and taking snaps with them.

However, it appears Justin had tired of the meet and greets hours later as he took to Snapchat to rant about how some people had been approaching him.

"The way you ask or approach me when you want a photo with me is going determine if I take a photo or not," he said. "If I'm walking somewhere or arriving somewhere and you guys are asking me to take a photo, if I don't respond, if I continue to keep walking, the likelihood is that I probably don't want to take a photo at that moment."

He then advised, "If you start screaming louder that's not going to make me (want to) take a photo more."

Justin admitted he often just wants to "enjoy the moment", but insisted, "I can't enjoy it if I'm not feeling there's any respect given to me that moment. Usually the chances are I'll take a photo but if perhaps I don't, or I'm not in the mood to take a photo that moment, please just respect me and just treat me the way you want to be treated."

The singer also expressed a desire to simply talk to fans and engage with them instead of spend his spare time taking picture after picture.

"Honestly I'd rather stand there and talk to you for five minutes and not take any photos... just have that moment without the chaos," he continued. "It's like, why did you travel to see me in the first place, was it really to see me or was it to get that moment of you seeing me so you could tell people about it? Just remember I'm not unattainable, unreachable, I'm just like you and I communicate just like you, so next time remember."

Justin's words of advice emerge weeks after he left one girl in tears in New York City earlier this month (Sep15), when he snubbed her request for a photo.

The female and a few other devotees had reportedly been waiting for hours outside a building to meet the singer, but when the pop superstar finally emerged, he rushed past the youngsters and hopped straight into a waiting SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle).

When Justin opened the car door to speak to an associate, he snapped at the pleading fans, "Yo, I'm talking to someone. Relax!" He subsequently left the scene without posing for pictures.
