Justin Bieber pays special thanks to mom on Mother's Day

Justin Bieber paid a special tribute to his mom on Mother's Day (10May15) by thanking her for helping to bring his "stupid phase" to an end sooner rather than later.

The Boyfriend hitmaker has famously endured a troublesome past two years, during which he was arrested for drag racing in Miami, Florida, assault in Canada, and vandalism in California, while he also faced legal action for allegedly clashing with members of the paparazzi on multiple occasions.

He has since publicly apologized for his bad behavior and vowed to stay on the right side of the law, and Bieber credits his mom, Pattie Mallette, with helping him see sense.

The 21 year old shared a photo of his mother on Instagram.com on Sunday (10May15), and honored her by writing, "This little 4'9" woman may not look like a mom but she is, and she's the best at it! This woman taught me everything I know, how to love how to be compassionate how to be strong when the only thing u wanna be is weak how to stand when all you want to do is fall.

"If it wasn't for this woman lets (sic) just say I would have had a way LONGER stupid phase. I love u and thank u for not giving up on me!"

Bieber's touching post came a day after he made his big concert comeback onstage at the Wango Tango bash in Carson, California on Saturday (09May15). He performed his last full gig in 2013.
