Justin Bieber labelled 'rude' after telling fans to stop talking during concert
Justin Bieber was booed by fans as he asked them to stop talking during his concert in Manchester, England, on Thursday night (21Oct16).
The 22-year-old singer hit headlines on Monday night (17Oct16) when he asked the crowd in Birmingham to stop screaming, but took things a new level on Thursday when he requested silence as he addressed the audience.
Before performing his penultimate song of the evening, Justin told
his screaming fans that he had called his tour the Purpose World
Tour "because everyone in here has a purpose", but stopped when he
realised that the audience were chatting and not listening to
him.
"I just thought I could have a moment to say something. I can cut
the bulls**t if you want," he said at that point. "I’m trying to
engage but if you guys don’t want to I’ll play the music."
According to the Manchester Evening News, Justin's face "twitched
with annoyance" as he made the request.
But his remarks didn't go down very well with the crowd, who
quickly started booing.
Others took to social media to express their frustration at
Justin's behaviour, with British actress Nadine Mulkerrin among
those commenting.
"We love your music but you are RUDE!!!!!!!!" she wrote.
Another fan tweeted: "Remember when Justin actually liked his job
then Manchester ruined it?"
Earlier in the evening, Justin had once again asked the crowd to
pipe down on their screaming as he geared up to perform two
ballads, telling them: "Try and stay as quiet as possible. You can
scream as much as you want afterwards but while I'm singing try and
stay quiet."
Justin's comments during his concert come after he announced the
end of his VIP meet and greet sessions with fans earlier this year
(16).
Revealing his decision, the Love Yourself singer posted on
Instagram: "Want to make people smile and happy but not at my
expense and I always leave feeling mentally and emotionally
exhausted to the point of depression."
