Jon Hamm and Jennifer Westfeldt still together despite split reports

Mad Men star Jon Hamm's representative has shut down reports suggesting the actor and his longtime partner Jennifer Westfeldt have split.

Sources told tabloid In Touch the couple had ended its 16-year relationship just weeks after Hamm completed a rehab stint for alcoholism, but a publicist insists the stars are still very much together.

A statement reads: "The story that appeared in this week's edition of In Touch magazine is not true... They continue to ask for the public's understanding and sensitivity during this challenging time."

The split news comes a week after reports of a family drama for Westfeldt circulated as gossips started questioning why the actress/writer wasn't standing by her man at Mad Men promotional events.

It was explained that he has been forced to walk the red carpet alone because she has been dealing with a drama of her own.

A representative for the actress told New York Post gossip column Page Six, "Unfortunately, Jennifer was not able to attend (the events) because of a serious illness in her family, on the heels of a recent death in her family."
