JoJo mourning father's death

Pop star Jojo has vowed to "keep singing" for her father Joel following his death at the age of 60 on Saturday (14Nov15).

JoJo, real name Joanna Levesque, is the daughter of two musicians - her father Joel was a blues singer and her mother Diana sang in church and dabbled in musical theater.

Joel passed away on Saturday, and the singer paid tribute in a touching message on Instagram.com which she posted alongside a childhood picture of herself with her father.

She writes, "I missed you even while you were here. I will miss you infinitely more now that you're gone. Thank you for holding on as long as you did. I know you tried your best. You are free now. I will love you always, Dad. I can feel you with me. Rest now. In peace. I miss your voice. I wish more people could have heard it. I promise I will keep singing for you."
