Jennifer Lopez dressed in a white fur coat to welcome twins
Jennifer Lopez wore a white fur coat as she prepared to give birth to her twins.
The 47-year-old star is known for always looking on point both on and off the red carpet. And even in the most stressful times of her life, Jennifer always puts her best foot forward.
The Love Don’t Cost A Thing singer spoke to Harper's Bazaar
magazine about her footwear collaboration with Giuseppe Zanotti and
revealed she has a strong connection to her favorite items of
clothing.
"It takes you back to that period in your life,” she said, likening
a good piece of clothing to a good song. "I do the same thing with
my closet. I walk in and I see a hat or a pair of shoes or a coat,
and I go, ‘Wow! I remember I was wearing that the day this
happened, or I was walking down the street; or I heard this or my
mom said that, or my boyfriend…’ You know what I mean? ‘And I was
dating so-and-so…’ I think of the day my kids were born... It was
in the middle of a snowstorm, and I wore this big white fur coat. I
was huge, and it was the only coat that would fit me!"
Jennifer gave birth to twins Max and Emme in 2008 with then-husband
Marc Anthony. The multi-talented star is launching her Giuseppe for
Jennifer Lopez range in stores in January (17), and worked closely
with the shoe designer and close friend to create a line that
reflects her aesthetic.
“I have a certain sensibility about the way I dress and design, and
I just kind of handed that to him (Giuseppe)," she said. "People
really associate me with sparkle and a little bit of street edge
and things like that. I wanted to make sure the collection had
that, but then some (styles) feel very glam and high-end
fashion."
It seems Jennifer may have passed her love of fashion onto her
children as well. Gushing about daughter Emme's talents, the singer
admitted she has high hopes for her little girl.
"Emme loves fashion," Jennifer beamed. "She was wearing my shoes as
soon as she started walking. She’s actually learning to sew
already. Who knows? We may have a little designer on our
hands."
