Jennifer Lawrence embarrassed herself in front of Harrison Ford

Jennifer Lawrence humiliated herself on a night out by dancing up to Harrison Ford and J.J. Abrams, who had no idea who she was.

The Hunger Games star was partying in London with British comedian Jack Whitehall when she thought it would be a good idea to approach the Star Wars actor and director and entertain them with a dance. But unfortunately for Jennifer, the pair didn't find her antics funny because they were clueless about who she was.

"I never assume anyone knows who I am, but when I spotted Harrison Ford and J.J. Abrams I was like, ‘It’ll be fine, we’re all co-workers, right!,'" she tells U.K. chat show Graham Norton. "So I went up to them and started dancing like an idiot and the whole table just went quiet and stared at me. I realised while I am dancing that they had absolutely no idea who I was so I just turned around and walked back to Jack dying of embarrassment."

The Hollywood star's humiliation was made even worse when she discovered Harrison knew who Jack was, even though he is little known outside the U.K., because she had appeared with the veteran actor together on a show.

Jack, who was also on The Graham Norton Show, said, "Jen had just been blanked and I was like, ‘Hey, it’s alright, I’ll go and say hi to Harrison,’ and everyone was like, ‘Jack, don’t do this. It will be humiliating,’ I got up and walk over and thinking, ‘Oh God maybe he won’t remember me and I’m going to be humiliated too...'

"Literally as I walked over he stood up and shouted, ‘Hey, Jack!’” It was so funny. It was probably the best night of my life and Jen’s worst!”

Harrison later wrote to Jennifer about the incident because she assumes someone "with a 12 year old must have told him who I was!"

The 25-year-old also recalled an awkward meeting with Sandra Bullock backstage at the Oscars. Jennifer told Sandra she loved "all your work except All About Steve – it was really bad," and yelled "Don't suck, Sandy!" before The Blind Side star went onstage to present.

Jennifer wishes she could email Sandra and give her explanation but she doesn't know what she would say.
