Jenna Dewan-Tatum: 'Channing just doesn't like vegetables'
Actress Jenna Dewan-Tatum struggled to get her hunky husband to embrace her vegan diet, as he doesn't like vegetables.
The 35-year-old has been married to Magic Mike XXL star Channing Tatum for six years, but despite their mutual love of keeping in shape, they haven't been able to find an eating plan they both love, with Jenna sticking to a vegan diet while Channing is a big meat eater.
"He really did try to be vegan for six months," she told Women's
Health. "The guy doesn't like vegetables, which makes it tough. It
was hard in the beginning because you want someone to be on the
same page, but you've got to let people be themselves."
Jenna shows off the results of her healthy lifestyle on the cover
of the magazine, posing in a blue and white tie-dye bikini and a
white shirt, revealing her toned torso.
The Step Up star achieves her sculpted look by fitting in 45-minute
exercise sessions around her job and parenting responsibilities to
the couple's three-year-old daughter Everly.
"I love 45-minute power workouts," she said. "I get in, do my
thing, and then I'm able to go pick up Everly from school. It gives
me energy."
However, Jenna prefers to exercise in a group or class scenario
rather than on her own.
"I need somebody to motivate me," she explained. "I like the
motivation of having somebody watching over and giving me
inspiration."
Jenna has always prided herself on staying in shape, and continued
to work out during her pregnancy with her daughter.
"I was working out almost every single day or walking or hiking,
anything that made me feel good," she told Self magazine at the
time.
