Jason Statham heading to the small screen

Action man Jason Statham is set to become the latest movie star making the leap to the small screen after signing on to lead the cast of a new TV drama series called Viva La Madness.
The Transporter star will play a criminal stranded in the Caribbean, longing for his life on the streets.
Based on J.J. Connolly's novel of the same name, Viva La Madness
serves as a sequel to the author's debut, 2004's Layer Cake, which
was adapted into a film featuring Daniel Craig.
Connolly will also adapt his book for the screen.
The project will mark Statham's first venture into television.
