Tickets for country star Jason Aldean's historic show at Boston's Fenway Park sold out in just seven minutes.

Seats went on sale on Friday and fans snapped them up.

It rounds off an amazing week for the country superstar, who is celebrating his first number one album on the Billboard 200 chart with Night Train - the release shot to the top of the charts on Wednesday (24Oct12).

His Fenway Park show, scheduled for next summer (13Jul13), marks the first headlining concert by a country act at the sporting Mecca, which is the home of baseball's Boston Red Sox.

The signer says, "When we started talking about playing stadiums, my only request was to play venues that were special and really meant something to me. At 100 years old, Fenway Park is one of the most iconic baseball stadiums in the country and there is absolutely nothing in the world that could be more special than selling that place out... as an entertainer and as a huge baseball fan. This has been the most unbelievable week."
