Iggy Azalea: 'Macklemore should have called me about White Privilege II lyric'
Iggy Azalea is still sore about rapper Macklemore's lyrical attack on her even after he attempted to explain his remarks.
The Macklemore and Ryan Lewis star singled out the Fancy hitmaker in his song White Privilege II, citing her as an example of white appropriation of black culture.
His lyrics sparked a feud between the two white rappers, prompting
Macklemore to explain he wasn't targeting Iggy. He also confessed
he should have contacted her to explain himself before going public
with the track.
"I read his interview and he's like, 'I should've called'," she
said. "You should have and you still haven't. So what's up with
that?
"I don't think it was intended as a diss, but at least I would've
been prepared when the headlines came out and been like, 'Alright,
I know what it is'."
