Harry Styles won't date a woman older than his mother

One Direction star Harry Styles has set an age limit for his dates as he is determined to not to romance anyone older than his mother.

The British pop singer has gained a reputation as a ladies' man since shooting to fame with the boyband and proved he has a penchant for older women after becoming involved with TV presenter Caroline Flack - who at 33, is 15 years older than the teenage star.

Styles, 18, has now revealed he is happy to date women in their 40s, as long as they aren't older than his 43-year-old mom.

In an interview with Britain's You magazine, Styles is asked whether he has an age limit for women, to which he replies, "Any woman who is older than my mom - who is 43."

However, Style is adamant his Lothario reputation is unfounded because most of the girls he is photographed with are just friends.

He adds, "I go out in London. Quite a lot of the girls I am photographed with are just friends, then, according to the papers, I have like 7,000 girlfriends."
