Harry Styles: 'I hooked up with a fan'

One Direction star Harry Styles has confessed he briefly romanced a fan.

The singer and his bandmates were promoting their new album Made in the A.M. on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Wednesday (18Nov15) and agreed to play a game of Never Have I Ever with the host.

When Ellen invited the boys to hold up paddles with 'I HAVE NEVER' and 'I HAVE' written on them and said, "Never have I ever hooked up with a fan", Styles revealed he had by holding up the 'I HAVE' side of his prop.

As fans in the studio audience started cheering and clapping, the heartthrob joked, "I think mine (paddle) is broken!"

During the game, Liam Payne also revealed he regretted his arrow tattoo on his right forearm.

"I was kinda like, 'What have I just done to my arm?' he said. "The first thing I thought was, 'How do I get this thing off me?' My mom cried and my dad probably cried a little bit... and I was like, 'This was a bad idea!'"

Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan confessed they had used a bandmate's toothbrush without telling them, and Horan revealed he had been "skinny dipping" in a hotel pool and used to tell fans he was Nick Carter from Backstreet Boys to confuse them.

Ellen had a surprise for the bandmates as she read an email from an avid fan who longed to meet them - and revealed it had been sent in by actress Rebel Wilson. The Pitch Perfect star appeared, pretending to sob uncontrollably, while holding a handmade cardboard sign that read '1D 4-EVA' and carrying the band's new CD.

After hugging the bandmates, she joked, "I know you guys have a new song on the album, called Olivia, but I know that's really about me, so that's, like, my new favorite."
