Halsey planning to control bipolar disorder on tour by writing new songs

Halsey is planning to write songs for her third album on tour with pop pal Charli Xcx this autumn (17) in a bid to keep her bipolar disorder from becoming a problem.

The singer, real name Ashley Frangipane, admits she often battles depression on tour, but has found that keeping herself creatively active helps her stay focused.

"Having a creative outlet for anyone with a mental illness is your best bet," she tells Billboard in a new joint interview with Charli. "I’m writing my third album on tour, so (producers) Benny (Blanco) and Cashmere Cat are coming too."
