Gwen Stefani: 'Braces were a fashion choice, not necessary'

Gwen Stefani has revealed the braces she wore on her teeth at the end of the 1990s were a fashion statement - she didn't need them to fix her teeth.

The No Doubt singer admits she had always wanted to wear braces and when she started getting rich she decided to wear them to complement her colourful style.

She tells Access Hollywood, "I could afford them at that point and that's when I went and got them."
