George Clooney is to host another fundraiser for U.S. President Barack Obama - in Switzerland.

Clooney, who spends part of his summer at his villa on Lake Como, Italy, is expected to hop across the border and front two Americans Abroad for Obama events in Geneva on 27 August (12).

The movie star, who previously staged a bash for the President at his home in Hollywood, is expected to address 150 guests at a reception and then serve as guest of honor at a more intimate dinner, where seats will cost $20,000 per person.

The money raised at the two events will help to fund Obama's re-election bid.

Clooney gave the President's campaign a huge boost after helping to raise $15 million at a fundraiser in May (12).

The Oscar winner invited 150 celebrities and VIPs to the dinner at his Los Angeles mansion.

Superstars including Barbra Streisand, Robert Downey, Jr., Tobey Maguire, Eddie Murphy, Billy Crystal, Salma Hayek and Jack Black were among those who paid $40,000 for a ticket.

Obama told guests he was delighted to have Clooney as a supporter, stating, "We raised a lot of money because everybody loves George. They, like me, love him. And rightfully so."
