Gal Gadot worried about telling her Justice League co-stars of her pregnancy news.

The Israeli actress has risen to prominence since taking on the role of Wonder Woman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice as well as the superhero's own stand-alone film in June (17).

Gal also reprises the character in the upcoming Justice League movie, and has now admitted that she felt very anxious about telling her colleagues that she was pregnant during the shoot, which took place until October 2016, as she didn't want anyone to think she was weak.

"I didn't want attention," she told Rolling Stone magazine. "The default should be that women get the job done, but there's a long way to go and a lot of reprogramming that needs to be done to both genders."

The 32-year-old is now mother to five-year-old Alma and Maya, five months, whom she shares with husband Yaron Versano. And when it came to shooting Wonder Woman with director Patty Jenkins, Gal knew she wanted the character to be secure in her femininity and impulses.

"We didn't want to treat the misogyny in a preaching way. We wanted to bring some naivete," the star shared. "Being the mother of two girls, I'm like, 'We need more naivete. Everyone is too in their head.'"

Gal started her career at the age of 18 when she was crowned Miss Israel in a beauty pageant, but then served two years as a soldier in the Israel Defense Forces and studied law before pursuing acting.

Even with her desire to pursue different interests, she still finds it interesting that people ask her whether she is a feminist.

"People always ask me, 'Are you a feminist?' And I find the question surprising, because I think, 'Yes, of course. Every woman, every man, everyone should be a feminist. Because whoever is not a feminist is a sexist,'" she added.
