Frankie Muniz refusing to let stroke derail Kingsfoil tour

Written by . Published: December 07 2012

Actor and drummer Frankie Muniz is preparing to head out on tour with his rock band Kingsfoil on Friday (07Dec12), just a week after suffering a "mini-stroke".

The former Malcolm in the Middle star was hospitalized in Arizona on 30 November (12) after going blind in one eye and losing his ability to speak coherently while riding his motorcycle with fiancee Elycia Marie in Phoenix.

He has since made a good recovery from the health scare and he is refusing to let the incident alter his travel plans.

Muniz, who turned 27 on Wednesday (05Dec12), will hit the road with Kingsfoil on Friday and drive to Teaneck, New Jersey, where the band is due to perform on Sunday (09Dec12).

In a post on his Twitter.com page, he writes, "Leave tomorrow for tour with @kingsfoil! ...See some of you guys there".

Kingsfoil will go on to play gigs in New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island.

Muniz opened up about the health crisis this week (begs03Dec12), admitting he was still feeling a little lethargic and was trying to work out what could have caused the stroke.

He told ABC News, "I'm still trying to make sense of it... I've literally, to this day, never had a sip of alcohol in my life, I've never had any drugs, I've never even had a cigarette... But I'm happy that I'm alive."
