Fifth Harmony axe European gigs, fans react
Girl group Fifth Harmony have cancelled a string of European shows scheduled for later this year.
The Work From Home singers were due to perform in France, Switzerland and Germany in October (16), but those gigs have now been axed from their 7/27 tour schedule without explanation.
Fans who'd bought tickets to the gigs had posted images of emails
they had received from ticketing websites informing them the dates
were cancelled.
One Italian Twitter user wrote: "I paid 500€ (Euros) for coming to
Zurich (given that you do not come to Italy) and now you cancelled
the show? WTF?"
Another fan was more concerned about rumoured in-band problems,
writing: "@FifthHarmony please explain all these canceled shows, we
just wanna know what's up."
Rumours of unrest within the band have dogged the U.S. leg of the
7/27, with Lauren Jauregui breaking down on stage in Phoenix,
Arizona earlier this month (Sep16) just days after bandmate Camila
Cabello left the stage midway through a concert in St. Louis,
Missouri, citing an anxiety attack.
But the bandmates appeared happy in a photo Lauren Jauregui posted
on Instagram on Sunday (11Sep16), marking the end of the U.S. leg
of the 2/27 Tour.
In the shot, Lauren posed with her bandmates, Camila, Normani
Kordei, Ally Brooke, and Dinah Jane, and members of their tour crew
and added the caption: "Thank you to absolutely every single person
in this picture (and those who couldn't make it) for such a
beautiful tour. These people worked their butts off to make sure we
gave you guys the best show we could every single night. I've also
had the most fun I've ever had touring this time around because of
these awesome people."
