Emma Watson still striving to speak fluent French

British actress Emma Watson is still aiming to master the French language after failing to make good on her years-old New Year's resolution.

The Harry Potter star was born in Paris and lived in the French capital until the age of five, when her parents divorced and she relocated to the U.K.

Emma admits she always feels at home whenever she returns to the city, but there's one aspect of French living she has never quite grasped - and she is still trying to improve her linguistic skills, four years after she first mentioned the resolution in 2013.

"I always make the same New Year's resolution: to speak French fluently as soon as possible," she tells Eurostar's Metropolitan Magazine.

Sharing what she loves most about Paris, the 27-year-old continues, "I always get this wave of nostalgia that washes over me whenever I arrive at the Gare du Nord (train station). I feel like I'm in sync here with the culture, the art, the music. And what I wouldn't do for a warm baguette!"
