Emilia Clarke: 'I don't get recognised'

Game Of Thrones star Emilia Clarke is rarely recognized by fans because she looks so different to her blonde character in the popular fantasy series.

The British actress plays exiled royal Daenerys Targaryen in the hit TV show and she sports striking white hair for the role.

However, the actress is a natural brunette and admits fans rarely approach her when she is off-set because they do not recognize her without the wig.

Clarke tells U.K. chat show host Graham Norton, "I looked so different in Game of Thrones that I am not recognized much, it doesn't really happen. I can walk around fine. I get stopped once in a while and when that happens I am called (character's royal title) Khaleesi and I turn around quicker for that than I do Emilia."

The interview is due to air in the U.K. on Friday (19Jun15).
