Ellie Goulding tired of touring

British pop star Ellie Goulding is planning a long break from touring as she is tired of life on the road.

The Lights hitmaker has been touring since January (14), covering Europe and North America as well as big festivals including Lollapalooza's South American leg and Coachella in California this weekend (12-13Apr14).

Goulding is booked to perform shows right through the summer (14), and the singer admits she needs a rest.

She tells Huffingtonpost.com, "To be honest, I am really ready to stop touring for a bit. I'm just tired. I feel like I've got so much to catch up on. I wasn't there when so many of my friends are getting married, having babies. I know it seems crazy, but there's just so much that I'm missing out on. I do have a really incredible job and I get to be on tour with my favorite people, but at the same time, I'm staring to think that I want to spend a substantial amount of time at home."
