Ellie Goulding battled through a bug during Coachella set

Ellie Goulding struggled through her set at the Coachella festival at the weekend (11-13Apr14) after picking up a bug on tour in South America.

The Burn singer admits she was still feeling ill when she took to the stage in the California desert last Friday (11Apr14), and is amazed she got through her performance without vomiting.

She explains, "I was really sick. I was in South America and I picked up something; my whole band did. So that was quite messy on the tour bus!

"I got a really weird bug and Coachella was, like, the end of it, but I held it together."

Goulding will be back at Coachella on Friday (18Apr14) for the festival's second weekend, and she admits she'd much rather be performing in the sun at a U.S. music event than the rain at a festival in her native U.K.

She tells Chelsea Handler, "Festivals in England are really messy, muddy, dirty; I've had to stop my set before because it's really wet and you can't perform."
