Eddie Redmayne vomits backstage at Baftas
Eddie Redmayne's big night out at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) awards turned into a disaster after he was struck down with food poisoning.
The model-turned-actor attended the London event in support of the musical, which was up for Best Film and Outstanding British Film, and his Les Miserables co-stars Hugh Jackman and Anna Hathaway, who were nominated in the acting categories.
He told reporters that he felt ill as he walked the red carpet, and
he was forced to pull out of presenting the Original Screenplay
award with Lincoln star Sally Field after he began vomiting
backstage.
After Anne Hathaway won the Best Supporting Actress BAFTA for her
role in the film, she passed on her best wishes to the Brit,
telling the audience, "Oh God, Eddie, feel better. I'd be holding
your hair back but, you know... food poisoning is just the
worst."
