Drew Barrymore loves New York subway

Hollywood star Drew Barrymore loves keeping it real when she's in New York by squeezing onto subway trains in the morning rush-hour.

The Charlie's Angels star admits she shuns limousines and cabs in the Big Apple in favour of public transport - and she avoids being recognised by burying her nose in a book.

Drew Barrymore tells InStyle magazine, "(The subway is) my favourite mode of transportation. Whenever I'm in New York, I smoosh in like one of the sardines. I keep my head down, put my headphones on and read my magazine."
