DMX freed from jail
Rapper Dmx has been released from jail after serving time for failing to pay child support.
The Get It On The Floor hitmaker, real name Earl Simmons, was arrested in New York City in June (15), just before he was due to play a concert at the fabled Radio City Music Hall.
The troubled father-of-12 was sentenced to six months behind bars
in July (15) for racking up $400,000 in child support debts, but he
was freed on Friday (25Sep15)
According to TMZ.com, he was released on a technical issue amid
claims he was never notified of owing the child support fees.
The case will be heard in court at a later date.
DMX, 44, is no stranger to the law - he has endured multiple stints
behind bars in recent years, serving time for reckless driving,
theft and drug possession charges, as well as parole violation.
