Deadpool tops 2016 Movie Mistakes list
Ryan Reynolds' comic book action film Deadpool has topped the list for the most movie mistakes of 2016.
The box office blockbuster is littered with 23 continuity errors and oversights - 10 more than second-placed Captain America: Civil War, according to the end-of-year countdown on website moviemistakes.com.
Site boss Jon Sandys tells WENN the wrong severed hand in a fight
scene is one of Deadpool's biggest blunders.
"In the bridge fight scene, where Colossus and Negasonic Teenage
Warhead appear, Deadpool tries to escape Colossus' handcuffs by
severing his hand," Sandys says. "The hand that he cuts off is his
left, but when he jumps off the bridge the severed arm is on his
right side."
And there's another scene Sandys and his eagle-eyed film fans
spotted: "After Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead leave the
manor to go (to) find Deadpool, the scene cuts back to the bridge
where several gunmen are shown exiting cars and begin approaching
Deadpool.
"In one of the shots during this, a gunman is shown exiting the
seat of a car, with the camera placed behind him. In the shot, the
reflection of a camera, cameraman and boom mic are perfectly
visible in the side wing mirror."
Captain America: Civil War and Zootopia tie for second place with
13 mistakes, while Now You See Me 2 comes in fourth with 12 errors,
two more than Jason Bourne and The Conjuring 2, which tie for
fifth.
Sully, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, X-Men: Apocalypse, and
Bridget Jones's Baby also make the top 10.
Sandys adds, "All in all fans (who visited my site) have spotted
over 250 mistakes in movies released this year, including
self-repairing clothing, arcade machines ahead of their time,
reflected camera equipment, and characters being in two places at
once."
