Daniel Baldwin engaged

Actor Daniel Baldwin is set to wed for the fourth time.

The Mulholland Falls star popped the question to entrepreneur girlfriend of over a year, Robin Sue Hertz Hempel, on Saturday (22Nov14) while they were attending the Fort Lauderdale Film Festival in Florida.

Baldwin, 54, confirms the happy news to People magazine, saying "I couldn't be more overjoyed Robin said yes. Next to the birth of my children, this is the happiest day of my life."

It will mark the fourth marriage for Alec Baldwin's younger brother, who has five children from previous relationships.

In 2011, he filed for divorce from former British model Joanne Smith-Baldwin after four years of marriage, and sought a restraining order against her after accusing her of threatening his life.

He later dropped the divorce filings and restraining order in an attempt to repair their marriage, but he filed divorce documents again in 2012.
