Cory Monteith's mom speaks out about fake media source

The mother of tragic actor Cory Monteith has broken her silence following her son's death last month (Jul13) to dismiss comments that have been made in the media on her behalf.

Ann McGregor, who cremated her son days after he was found dead in a Vancouver, Canada hotel room following a heroin and alcohol overdose, took to Twitter.com on Friday (02Aug13) and insisted that quotes attributed to her and stories connected to her in the three weeks since her son's death have all been bogus.

She wrote, "I would like to thank all of Cory's supporters at this extremely emotional time. Your support has been overwhelming... thank you!"

She added, "The person releasing articles relating to my feelings and thoughts on how to take care of Cory's ashes has never been in contact with me... I have never met or spoken to this person He does not represent me or my wishes."
