Actress Claire Danes is returning to the New York stage for the first time in nine years.
The Homeland star has signed up to join John Krasinski in new Off Broadway play Dry Powder, about a private equity boss who forces the lay-off of several employees at a local grocery store.
The production, written by Sarah Burgess, will also feature Hank
Azaria, with Hamilton's Thomas Kail serving as director.
Previews will begin on 1 March (16) at the Public Theater.
The role marks Danes' first theater gig since portraying Eliza
Doolittle in a Broadway revival of Pygmalion in 2007.
