Chrissy Teigen accidentally published phone number in new cookbook
Supermodel-turned-food connoisseur Chrissy Teigen was forced to change her phone number after the digits were accidentally published in her new cookbook.
The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit beauty released her very first collection of recipes with her Cravings book on Tuesday (23Feb16), but die-hard fans who purchased and received early editions of the book got an added bonus - it featured Teigen's personal mobile number.
She took to Twitter.com on Tuesday to send an apology to friends
and family who had tried to reach out to her on her big release
day, since she wasn't able to respond to them right away.
"Early purchasers of my cookbook were gifted with my tiiiiiny phone
number on (her dog) Pippa's collar on page 111," red-faced Chrissy
explained. "Learned this after 100 or so calls! I have since
changed it but thank you for all the kind voicemails! but really -
to all friends, i had to change my number today so please don't be
mad at me for not getting back to any texts!!!!"
Teigen shared her phone mishap just after a book signing at a Los
Angeles book store, where she was supported by husband John Legend.
Fans came out in droves to meet the couple, and the event left the
mom-to-be very emotional.
She tweeted, "thank you to the enormous turnout... truly cannot
believe it. i had no idea if anyone would come and i could
cry."
After undergoing rigorous and difficult IVF treatments, Teigen and
Legend are preparing to become first time parents, and she recently
told People magazine that she wanted her first child to be a girl -
and then made sure that happened.
She told People magazine, "Not only am I having a girl, but I
picked the girl from her little embryo. I picked her and was like,
‘Let’s put in the girl'. I think I was most excited and allured by
the fact that John would be the best father to a little girl.
"It excited me to see... just the thought of seeing him with a
little girl. I think he deserves a little girl. I think he deserves
that bond. A boy will come along. We’ll get there too, so it’s not
like we really have to pick. But he definitely is very lucky to
have a little girl. And this girl is going to be so completely
lucky to have John as her papa."
