Chief Keef distances himself from marijuana store after shooting
Rapper Chief Keef has denied any involvement in a California marijuana store bearing his name after two men were shot to death there on Wednesday (23Sep15).
Police were called to the Chief Keef Glo Shop in Compton on Wednesday evening, when officers discovered the bodies of two males inside.
Reports suggested the hip-hop star was a co-owner of the
dispensary, after previously promoting the business on social media
last year (14), writing, "Me an @wolf_daboss just opened a new GLO
gang weed shop were (where) u (sic) can find me an (and) my OG
(original gangster)..."
However, his manager Rovaun Manuel has since insisted the post was
made "for money or as a favor", and tells the Los Angeles Times,
"It's not ours. If it was ours, it would have a lot more
class."
Manuel claims the store's actual owner, Wolf Da Boss, was an artist
once affiliated with Keef's Glo Gang record label.
Authorities are still investigating the shooting.
