Cara Delevingne documentary in the works
A film documenting Cara Delevingne's life and career is in the works.
Executives at Revolver Entertainment have acquired The Cara Project, a documentary focusing on the 24-year-old's transition from model to actress, with a view to release it on DVD and video on demand in the U.S. and Canada within the next few months, according to Variety.
Representatives for Revolver, which has previously released
Apparition, The Krays: Kill Order and The Magic Flute, will be
reportedly selling The Cara Project to broadcasters and home
entertainment distributors at MIPCOM, a trade show geared towards
the TV industry in Cannes, France and American Film Market, a
similar event held in California.
Cara, who began modeling aged 10, was signed to Storm Model
Management in 2009 and modeled for many big companies such as
Burberry, Chanel and Tom Ford, as well as appearing on magazine
covers worldwide and strutting down the catwalk at the big fashion
week shows.
Last year (15), she cut ties with her management and announced she
would be focusing on acting full-time. Since her debut in 2012
movie Anna Karenina, Cara has starred in The Face of an Angel, Pan,
Paper Towns and Suicide Squad, and is due to appear in the upcoming
films London Fields, Tulip Fever and Valerian and the City of a
Thousand Planets.
She revealed to The Times newspaper last year (15) that modeling
made her feel "a bit hollow" and gave her stress-related
psoriasis.
"It didn't make me grow at all as a human being. And I kind of
forgot how young I was... I felt so old," she said. "I was (also),
like, fight and flight for months. Just constantly on edge. It is a
mental thing as well because if you hate yourself and your body and
the way you look, it just gets worse and worse."
She also clarified to The Hollywood Reporter that she wasn't
retiring from fashion and would still work in the industry when she
had time to do so between films.
