Calvin Harris is 'strong' after Taylor Swift split

Calvin Harris "doesn't need anybody" to comfort him following his split from Taylor Swift, according to his pal John Newman.

The DJ and his Shake It Off singer girlfriend split in June (16) after more than a year together, with Taylor rebounding with actor Tom Hiddleston just weeks later. But while Calvin's close friend John previously revealed the Scottish superstar was "shocked" about so-called "Hiddleswift", he has now insisted the 32-year-old is coping very well as a single man.

"He doesn't need anybody. His emotions are so strong, he's so strong minded," John told Britain's The Sun newspaper. "He's a one-man train who is never going to stop. The limits are literally endless for him."

While Calvin might not need anyone to keep tabs on him, John has been doing his utmost to keep an eye on his pal following the very public break-up, joking that he has been calling the DJ at night to "check he's tucked in safe".

Since his split from Taylor, Calvin has been linked to a variety of famous names, including R&B singer Tinashe. However, when the beauty was asked about the rumors last month (Aug16), she told E! News: "I mean, I'm still definitely single, so that's all that we're at right now."

Meanwhile, Calvin has been causing a stir with a picture he posted on Instagram earlier this week (beg29Aug16). In the snap, to celebrate his manager's birthday, Calvin stripped down to just a pair of boxer shorts - showing off his muscular physique in the process.

“Happy birthday to my manager Mark Gillespie. I love u (sic)," Calvin captioned the picture.

Eagle-eyed fans also noted that he was wearing Armani underwear - the brand he has been representing since last year (15).

It had been claimed Calvin had cut ties with the company following his split from Taylor, but his choice to promote them in the hunky picture suggests otherwise.
