Bristol Palin calls off wedding
Reality TV star Bristol Palin, daughter of 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, has called off her wedding to her fiance Dakota Meyer just days before the ceremony.
The politician took to Facebook.com to announce her daughter's sad news that her nuptials on Saturday (23May15) will not go ahead.
She writes on the social network site, "Bristol and Dakota couldn't
be more thankful for the love and support of family and friends
over the past months while preparing for their wedding. They have
informed loved ones that unfortunately the announced celebration
planned for May 23 will not be held.
"Many friends and family still look forward to getting together
that day in Kentucky anyway - and the Palins and Meyers are happily
looking forward to still being at 'the old Kentucky home' on May 23
to celebrate life, in general!... All involved, especially Dakota,
Bristol and Tripp, and their parents and grandparents, thank
supporters for the love they've expressed."
Bristol, who appeared on reality show Dancing with the Stars in
2011, was previously engaged to her six-year-old son Tripp's
father, Levi Johnston, but called off the engagement in 2009. She
met Meyer last year (14).
