Blake Shelton compares Bieber fever to power of Presley

Blake Shelton was overwhelmed by the reaction to Justin Bieber's appearance on The Voice on Tuesday night (17Apr12), likening the teen idol to rock superstar Elvis Presley.

The Baby hitmaker was greeted by screaming fans in the audience as he premiered a clip from his new Boyfriend video on the show, and Shelton, who serves a judge on the programme, has been left stunned by the 18 year old's rapid rise to fame.

He tells Hollywood Life, "You would have to be living under a damn rock not to know who the kid is and the impact that he is having. I never witnessed anything like that, it's got to be similar to what happened with Elvis when he would come walking into a room. People screaming and crying, I literally looked at a group of girls that were in the audience and they were crying!

"Man, I like that kid. He came over and shook all of our hands, so he seems to be a really good kid on top of everything else, on top of being extremely hot and talented!"
