Blake Lively attends friend's wedding days after giving birth

Blake Lively came out to support her best friend at her wedding on Sunday (02Oct16) despite reportedly just giving birth two days before.

The former Gossip Girl star reportedly welcomed her second child with husband Ryan Reynolds last week (beg26Sep16) at a hospital in Manhattan, New York but she didn't let that stop her from supporting her good friend Jessica at her wedding days later.

Blake shared a picture on Instagram showing her kissing the bride on the cheek on Sunday. In the snap, she is wearing an all-black ensemble, including a long black coat with fur detailing, which is shielded by Jessica's bouquet of flowers.

“Most beautiful bride on the planet. And the best friend I could ask for," she wrote. "@jessicarose617 thank you for being EVERYTHING. I love you.”

The 29-year-old and her actor husband have not yet confirmed the birth news or revealed further details, including the gender and name of their child. This is similar to their handling of the birth of their daughter James, now 22 months.

Ryan didn't confirm her name was James, which had been reported, until three months after the birth, telling Today show, "It is Butternut Summersquash. No, it’s out there! It’s out there. It’s James. Everyone knows and I told everyone who would listen that.

"Before it was out there I didn’t want to be the first guy screaming it out to the media because as we know, little girls turn into teenage girls and little teenage girls sometimes scan through the archives and go, 'Why did you do that?'"

Blake revealed they were expecting a sibling for James when she debuted her growing baby bump at the world premiere of her Woody Allen film Cafe Society at the Cannes Film Festival in France in May (16).

The couple married in 2012.
