Basketball star LeBron James producing new reality TV series centred upon revamping Cleveland
Trainwreck star Lebron James is to produce and star in a new reality TV series set in his native Ohio.
The basketball superstar returned to Cleveland in 2014 to play for hometown team the Cavaliers after four winning seasons with the Miami Heat, and he has spent much of the last two years helping to revitalise the city.
And now he's taking his pro-Cleveland campaign to TV for a new
show, which will revolve around local entrepreneurs.
Cleveland Hustles, which James will produce with his business
partner Maverick Carter, will centre on the efforts of four
aspiring tycoons as they attempt to revitalise a neighborhood in
Cleveland.
Business experts will invest in and mentor the contestants, who
will also be tasked with creating longterm jobs for locals.
Trainwreck set LeBron off on a track to film and TV success - he
has also signed a movie development deal with Warner Bros. His
first venture under that deal is the TV series Survivor's Remorse,
about a young basketball star's rise to glory.
James also produces the show Becoming on Disney XD.
