Aziz Ansari splits from chef girlfriend

Comedian Aziz Ansari has reportedly split from his chef girlfriend Courtney McBroom.

The former Parks and Recreation star and the famed New York pastry chef called it quits about a month ago after two years of dating, according to the New York Daily News.

A source close to Ansari tells the newspaper the actor's busy schedule is to blame for the split, due to his successful stand-up comedy tour and filming for his Golden Globe-nominated Netflix series Master of None.

The usually private Ansari opened up about his relationship with McBroom in 2014, telling Billboard Magazine that they had first met years ago, but she was dating someone else at the time.

He explained, "I thought she was really cool. Then I ran into her randomly, and she was single. I've kind of settled down. I was the guy eating Skittles and having lots of fun, and then I was like, 'I need a nice nutritious salad' - she's the salad."
