Ariana Grande challenges Ryan Seacrest over relationship questions

Ariana Grande challenged radio host Ryan Seacrest in an interview on Wednesday (14Sep16) when he tried to get her to confirm her relationship with Mac Miller.

The Problem singer appeared on radio show On Air With Ryan Seacrest on Wednesday morning and when the interview turned to her romance with rapper Mac, she became difficult and challenged Ryan about his questions, refusing to confirm if they were a couple.

Ryan referred to an image Ariana had recently posted on Instagram, which shows the pair lying on the floor. Mac's head is snuggled into Ariana's chest while she curls her legs around him. The post was captioned "baabyyy (sic)", leading many to believe she was confirming the relationship, but during her radio interview she insisted that's not the case.

"Is that (confirming) what I did?," she said. "Is that what Instagram means to you now? Alright world let's go... let's see, let's see," and Ariana continues to distract Ryan by saying, "How did we get there? What was that segue?"

When Ryan reminds her he was asking if she confirmed it, "What are you asking? You said a sentence, there was no question," prompting him to phrase it as a question, to which she responds, "I don't know, man," but when he applies some pressure, she adds, "Good morning, On Air with Ryan Seacrest, it's too early for this kind of tea. It's too early man."

Ryan changes tactic by explaining if he posts something on social media then it means something to people, but Ariana disagrees that her picture should be seen as confirmation.

"If I post something that's what I'm willing to share at the moment," she said. "But it doesn't mean then you, Ryan Seacrest with millions of listeners, are entitled to more information."

"It doesn't?" he questioned, to which she gives a simple "no".

Ariana was also quizzed by TV host Ellen DeGeneres on the relationship during an interview which aired later on Wednesday. She became embarrassed about it but finally confirmed they are dating.
