Another seven-week run at the top of the pop charts for Adele
Adele has matched her longest run at the top of the Billboard pop charts after scoring seven weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100.
The Brit last managed the feat in 2011, when Rolling in the Deep hit the top of the countdown and stayed there for two months.
Her latest hit, Hello, rocketed to the top of the chart last month
(Nov15).
Hello's ongoing success marks a third consecutive chart double for
Adele, whose comeback album, 25, kept Coldplay's A Head Full of
Stars off the top of the Billboard 200 album chart on Sunday
(13Nov15).
The latest chart news comes hours after Adele announced plans for a
US summer tour in 2016.
Meanwhile, Justin Bieber's Sorry stays put at two for a sixth
successive week, and Drake's Hotline Bling remains at number
three.
Bieber's What Do You Mean? and Love Yourself round out the new top
five.
