Andrew Keegan holds 'intention ceremony' with pregnant girlfriend
Andrew Keegan celebrated the impending birth of his first child with girlfriend Arista Ilona by holding a "sacred intention ceremony" at the actor's spiritual center in Los Angeles.
The former Party of Five star announced his longtime partner's pregnancy last month (Oct15), and on Wednesday (11Nov15), the couple took part in a special event to mark its new journey to parenthood - although a representative for Keegan insists the ceremony was not a wedding.
A statement issued to UsMagazine.com on Thursday (12Nov15) reads:
"No marriage but there was an intention ceremony held last night at
Full Circle for the baby. Family and close friends of Andrew and
Arista gathered to celebrate this new chapter in their lives."
Keegan and model Ilona also used the gathering to reveal they are
expecting a baby girl.
"My beloved partner and I are excited to welcome a baby into our
lives and our community," Keegan says in a statement. "We look
forward to embracing the sacred responsibility of parenthood as
well as learning from this spirit. Our intention is to raise our
child in a co-creative environment where truth and love are
foremost. We welcome your thoughts and prayers for this incubating
life."
Keegan co-founded the Full Circle center last year (14), when he
described the venture as a project "dedicated to supporting
individuals in our community to follow their passions with a
broader social understanding".
He added, "The home of a conscious social movement, we provide an
experiential environment designed to creatively expand
consciousness through visual and performing arts, movement classes,
workshops, forums and healing therapies.
"Full Circle integrates the indigenous and modern practices,
bringing individuals, community and organizations together as
indispensable collaborators realizing a co-creative, sustainable
and fulfilling future. We provide a platform for the community to
engage in diversity inclusion, economic and environmental
sustainability, inspiration through art and music, health and
well-being and social/soci-political awareness."
