Comedienne Amy Schumer brought attention to Gun Violence Awareness Day by sharing a snap of her pants-less on social media.
The Trainwreck star has been an outspoken advocate of stricter gun control laws in the U.S., and to help promote the national movement on Thursday (01Jun16), she participated in the #WearOrange campaign, in an effort to remember victims of shootings as well as spread awareness about gun safety.
Amy took to Twitter to post a photo of herself only from the neck
down, wearing an orange sports bra and nothing else, creatively
covering her private parts while showing off the curve of her
behind.
She added the caption, "Today please #WearOrange for gun
safety."
Amy later posted photos of other people wearing orange, and a final
shot featured herself alongside her sister Kim Caramele and other
friends on a film set, all wearing orange items.
The caption read: "Me and my honeys on set like to #wearorange
thinking of you today and everyday Mayci and Jillian," referring to
Jillian Johnson, 33, and Mayci Breaux, 21, who were shot and killed
by an armed gunman in Louisiana while watching a screening of her
hit film Trainwreck last summer (15).
Since then, Amy has heavily weighed in on the ongoing gun control
debate and joined forces with her cousin, New York Senator Chuck
Schumer, to campaign for stricter gun laws in America.
Meanwhile, other stars such as Kim Kardashian, Julianne Moore, Ron
Howard, Sarah Silverman, Brooke Shields, and Spike Lee also took to
social media on Thursday to share their support for the #WearOrange
campaign.
