Amanda De Cadenet breaks down over pal Paltrow's parenting skills
Former wild child-turned-TV personality Amanda De Cadenet fought back tears while interviewing pal Gwyneth Paltrow as she told the actress how much she admired her as a mom.
The two friends were shooting the chat for De Cadenet's The Conversation talk show when the topic turned to parenting - and the British socialite became emotional as she thanked the star for helping her cope with motherhood.
De Cadenet said, "I very much trust your instinct and guidance as a
mother. I was thinking about the things that I've learned from you
and one of the things is really about family.
"I didn't grow up with that; I didn't have a relationship with my
father and, like, learning to be a mother to a son and a daughter
when there isn't really an example, and how I watched you with your
kids... I really learned so much from you."
De Cadenet halted the interview and apologized for the sudden
emotion, prompting her pal to joke, "This is the worst interview of
all time... I'll start crying."
The host added, "I'm so grateful for that... I've been able to
witness how you juggle everything and how you show up for your son
and your daughter and I've often looked at you and thought, 'How do
you know how to do this?'"
