Alec Baldwin honored in Rome

Actor Alec Baldwin has been honored in Rome with a Friend of Italy Award.

The movie star was in the city filming Andron: The Black Labyrinth when he took time out to attend the gala, which celebrates individuals who promote Italian culture abroad.

He was presented with the Silver Mermaid Award by Italian movie star Franco Nero. Composer Tony Renis was also feted.

Following the honor, Baldwin told reporters, "I love to shoot in Italy, and in Rome especially."
