And the news we’ve all been waiting for: "Dead to Me" Season 2 is coming, and it’s coming quick!
Just four weeks after its season one premiere in Spring 2019, we learned that the new Netflix series would be renewed for a second season. But we can officially expect the show’s follow-up season this Spring/Summer!
The dark comedy series, starring the adored Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini, was released last May, but viewers had little expectation or idea on what the show would bring.
Let’s just say we were more than pleasantly surprised! After the first few episodes, it quickly became one of our favorite shows the streaming service ever put out.
"Dead to Me" tells the story of a powerful friendship between Jen (Applegate) and Judy (Cardellini) that begins in a support group after the two suffer the loss of their significant others. Although the women are complete opposites, they form an unlikely friendship that proves healing, comical, and full of shocking secrets.
What we love most about "Dead to Me" is the very careful yet perfect balance of including the experience and stages of grief and loss in the plot while also making us laugh… a lot. Writer Liz Feldman is an absolute genius for doing that! In our book, she’s the MVW (Most Valuable Writer).
The show has already wrapped on filming, so all that’s left is preparation before it hits our Netflix screens. The trailer for Season 2 has yet to be released, but if you need a refresher or haven’t seen the show at all, check out the trailer for Season 1 to get you hooked.
We can’t wait!!!
