As if 2020 hasn’t been crazy enough, Millie Bobby Brown must be experiencing quite the rollercoaster on top of this rollercoaster of a year. Over the past couple weeks, we’ve seen the announcement of her breakup with rugby player Joseph Robinson, her upcoming role in a new Netflix original film, and the passing of her beloved family dog. Our heart aches for her as she mourns the death of her furbaby, and we are sending her the absolute best of vibes!
@milliebobbybrown new trend? I think not

But in order to keep some positive light on the star, we wanted to dish out all the details we know about her upcoming role in The Girls I’ve Been, the new Netflix original that’s currently in the works! The Girls I’ve Been is a “twisty, exhilarating thriller” about a bank heist, wherein the main character, Nora (MBB), who just so happens to be a con artist, must use her artistry to work her way to safety. We’re definitely getting some Talented Mr. Ripley vibes, and we are SO excited to see the talented Ms. Brown rock this role!
Jason Bateman is producing the movie through Aggregate Films, the same production company that brought us "Ozark", which, if you haven’t already watched, you need to get on it. Like right now.
The best part? Not only will we be getting a movie version of The Girls I’ve Been, we’ll also be seeing it in book format. Penguin Random House will be publishing the novel written by Tess Sharpe in early 2021. Unfortunately, we don’t really have any time-frame for the movie’s production and release, but we know it’ll be worth the wait. And at least we’ll have the book pretty soon to tide us over!
