If you were obsessed with the sensational reality show "Love Is Blind", we have a new obsession for you: Love Is Quarantine, a new social experiment based on the show’s concept! We’re here to give you the deets so you can follow this amazing experiment.
When the Netflix show “Love Is Blind” premiered in January, it was a head-turner. But now that we’re all self-isolating, and online dating looks very different, the show suddenly resonates very differently. Thi Lam and his roommate Rance Nix were big fans of the show “Love Is Blind”, and they had an idea: what if you recreated the concept of the show but gave it a quarantine twist? They built a Google spreadsheet and some “pods” similar to the ones on the show, but in this experiment, the pods are phone calls, and these roommates are matchmakers.
The project has seen success so far, with couples continuing to talk after their dates, and people following along on social media. The project has gained over 17,000 followers on Instagram.
So far, their date nights have ranged from “Senior night” to “Tall/short night”, even to a date night for first responders.
Dating in the age of Coronavirus might be pretty strange, but if Cameron and Lauren can make it, so can these quarantined lovers!
