Millie Bobby Brown is back and she’s craftier than ever in Netflix’s Enola Holmes 2. The sequel is set to release November 4, over two years since the first film debuted. If you need a refresher, when we last saw Enola, she saved the Viscount (Louis Partridge) and was ready for her next adventure in London. With the new trailer release, here’s what we know so far!
Enola is now a detective-for-hire who takes a sudden job because no one else will hire her. But let’s back up. In the trailer’s opening shot, Enola is running away from thugs when she turns to the camera, in the franchise’s signature fourth wall-breaking fashion, and says, “Perhaps I should explain.”

Her detective business is off to a rough start, as potential clients are put off by her young appearance and instead flock to her brother, the famed Sherlock Holmes (Henry Cavill). That is, until another young girl enters her office with a plea to find a missing person. Enola agrees, and swordfighting, flirting, and explosions (not in that order) ensue.

Helena Bonham Carter returns as Eudoria Holmes, Enola’s eccentric and secretive mother, while we also get a small glimpse of the young Viscount Tewkesbury as he and Enola embark on what looks like another adventure together. The trail of the missing girl seems destined to intertwine with old but beloved characters.

Finally, the trailer culminates in Edith (Susan Wokoma) shouting, “You can’t control Enola Holmes, she’s a force of nature!” We don’t doubt that!
